The Heritage

The Legend of Barón de Chirvân

A French nobleman's journey, an Azerbaijani love story, and a terroir that outshone Europe.

I

A Match of Souls

Centuries ago, a French Baron named Alistair journeyed along the Silk Road, seeking new horizons. His path led him to Chirvân, a historic Azerbaijani region cradled by the Caucasus Mountains and the Caspian Sea.

There he met Sarah — a local beauty whose warmth and vibrant spirit captured his heart entirely. Bound by a deep love, Alistair chose to make this ancient, majestic land his forever home.
II

The Perfect Terroir

A connoisseur of the fine wines of his homeland, Alistair recognised a rare magic in Chirvân's sun-drenched hills, crisp mountain breezes and rich soil.

He planted noble French grape varieties, nurturing them with the time-honoured traditions of France.
III

Outshining Tradition

The microclimate did what no cellar could. Long, warm days and cool mountain nights drew a depth and vibrancy from the vines that their French homeland had never given them — a premium wine that gracefully outshines tradition.

Today, Barón de Chirvân honours this legacy. It is a premium wine born of a grand love story, where classic French varieties find their ultimate, finest expression in the historic soil of Azerbaijan.
